An international communication company with the head office in USA is looking for a talented IT Engineer who would support our R&D office in St. Petersburg. This is a great chance to become a part of the unique product which provide the fastest Wi-Fi connection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT engineer is responsible for managing all IT systems including Windows Active Directory, Linux servers, File servers, mailbox management, and computers of internal users.

• Respond to all IT related issues, including user support and server issues.

• Apply patches and updates to servers and user’s computers.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation on server/application’s configurations.

• Provide desktop/laptop, network, and phone system support.

• Manage IT assets.

• Monitor application performance, server performance, and network performance.

• Support projects associated with implementation of network and server applications.

• Keep up-to-date of requirements to ensure IT involvement early in projects.

• Participate with vendors during problem analysis and solution.

  
  

Qualifications for this position include:

• Spoken English

• 3+ years of hands-on system administration experience in a corporate IT environment

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar.

• Extensive experience of supporting Windows and Linux clients.

• Hands-on experience of Linux server (Redhat, CentOS, and Ubuntu) and application administration.

• Proven ability to implement and manage Windows systems, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows server 2008 and 2012.

• Extensive Active Directory administration experience.

• Good working knowledge and experience with managing CIFS, NFS NIS, DNS, DHCP, and printer servers.

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is a plus.

• LAN/WAN network experience is a plus.

• Strong client troubleshooting skills are required.

• Experience working with globally distributed networks, sites and groups.

• Strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be self-motivated and take ownership of assigned tasks

Strong teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently.
